WEST BANK AVENUE
Following the purchase by our clients of a detached 1970’s house in a Derby suburb, Beech Architects were asked to look at renovating and extending the property.
The clients wanted a rear extension to replace an existing flat roof extension but to also provide a large open plan family kitchen/ dining/ breakfast space. They also wanted an extra bedroom with en suite, a utility room and downstairs wet room. Better access to the large rear garden was a must.
Beech Architects put these ideas together in a proposed rear pitched roof extension with a large folding glass wall and rooflights to provide the maximum amount of natural light into the rear of the house.
This
extension wrapped around into a side extension over the existing
garage to provide a new bedroom with en suite and downstairs wet
room and utility. The new bedroom was designed to be dual aspect
with views over both the road and the
garden.
