This scheme involves a modest link extension to a converted listed barn (curtilage listed) to provide a new entrance hall to the main house and link the two wings of the building.

The space created provides new hall entrance, boot room, utility room and study and removes circulation space from the main house making the existing internal layout more efficient.

The link takes a curving form to guide visitors into the front door position and soften the approach to the house.

The curve is formed using traditional Suffolk flint-work, which reflects the flint plinth elements of the main barn.
